The First-Year Committee (Sjaarscie) introduces new members to the association at the beginning of the academic year. In the first week of September, the committee kicks things off with a fun first-year weekend, where first-year members get to know each other. In the weeks that follow, the Sjaarscie organizes many more fun activities. Recurring activities often include a boat party (if the weather is still nice!), tournaments with senior members and other student tennis associations in the Netherlands, a pub crawl, a VVV dinner, and much more!
Of course, there is also an opportunity for members who join later in the year to get introduced to the association. For this, please see the Spring Committee (Lente Commissie).
